Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. she is currently president and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. The California native Buss grew up in an extremely wealthy family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon and then later owned the Lakers. She felt abandoned emotionally after her parents split in 1972. As a 19-year-old, she took over management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. The team was later renamed her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She held the position of president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Buss, her five siblings and brothers as well as their father who owned the Lakers and ruled them up to his passing away in 2013, received this ownership by way of an estate.
