Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Haughton made headlines after 1994 when she debuted her debut album Age Ain't nothing but the number. She was only 15 at the time and the album went on to become Gold. R. Kelly was a major influence on this collaboration which put the singer into the spotlight. In 1996, Jermaine and Timbaland released Aaliyah's second album One In A Million. It contained If Your Girls Only Knew the most-sold single. Following the release of this work Aaliyah won international acclaim as an R&B artist. She was a part of the romance and action film Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Joel Silver spotted her in an award show. In 2002, she was able to play the horror film Queen of the Damned which was an adaptation of Anne Rice's Anne Rice novel. She then got into the Matrix with her role as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also been in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 and The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. Majumdar. Although her early career was dominated by minor films and television roles, she gained more recognition in the latter half of 2000s. Other notable work includes Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. The actress has been featured in advertisements for major companies like the international auto manufacturer Volvo. She is currently working on her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her son and husband.
